Loddon Mallee Renewable Energy Roadmap
The Loddon Mallee Renewable Energy Roadmap is now complete.
The Victorian Renewable Energy Roadmaps were released by the State Government on 21 May 2020, including the Loddon Mallee Roadmap prepared by CVGA.
Along with the Roadmaps, the Renewable Energy Transition Modelling Tool developed by Remplan, was also released and allows users to explore the key opportunities for each region and local government area to contribute to the State's renewable energy target. The site provides a range of insights and tools for communities to understand the renewable energy potential and economic opportunities in their region.

What is the Loddon Mallee Renewable Energy Roadmap?
The Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance (CVGA) has received funding to develop a Renewable Energy Roadmap for the Loddon Mallee region.
This project will work closely with stakeholders and the broader community to identify:
The Loddon Mallee Regional Renewable Energy Roadmap will provide policy makers and industry with an understanding of the economic potential for renewable energy within the region and give the community a voice in how they would like to see this transformation take place. The development of the Roadmap will contribute to a suite of individual but aligned Regional Renewable Energy Roadmaps for other Department of Environment Land Water and Planning (DELWP) regions.
Funding for this project has been provided through the State Government’s New Energy Jobs Fund. It is expected to be completed in December 2019.
This project will work closely with stakeholders and the broader community to identify:
- The community’s vision for the role that renewable energy will play in the region
- The current state of renewable energy in Loddon Mallee
- A prospectus detailing the opportunities and challenges facing the region as we transition to renewable energy
