Position: Project Manager – Powering Resilience in the Regions
📍 Location: Castlemaine-based (with flexible working options across Victoria)
🕒 Part-time: 0.6–0.8 FTE (negotiable)
💰 Salary: $110,000 to $130,000 pro rata, including super and leave entitlements
📆 Contract: 16 months fixed term
Do you want to lead impactful clean energy and climate resilience projects that make a real difference in communities? Are you keen to work with innovative councils across regional Victoria to deliver solar and battery-powered energy solutions to where they're needed most?
The Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance (CVGA) is looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to coordinate our groundbreaking Powering Resilience in the Regions (PRITR) project.

At CVGA, we’re a leading group of local councils working together across central and north-west Victoria to create a climate positive region by 2035. For over 20 years, we’ve led collaborative, region-wide projects in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and climate adaptation.
⚡ About the Project
Powering Resilience in the Regions (PRITR) is funded by the Victorian Government’s 100 Neighbourhood Batteries Fund. Through this project, we’ll install behind-the-meter solar PV and battery energy storage systems at 11 community facilities across 10 local government areas. These energy resilience hubs will keep the lights on during power outages and extreme weather events—delivering energy resilience, reducing costs, and empowering communities as part of Victoria’s clean energy transition.

As our Project Manager, you’ll be the engine driving PRITR delivery from start to finish. You’ll collaborate with councils, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely, and effective project rollout.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage timelines, budgets, contractors, and installations
- Liaise with councils, contractors, DNPS, and emergency services
- Lead quality assurance and risk mitigation
- Support community engagement and communication efforts
- Report on progress and outcomes to stakeholders
🛠️ About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Extensive project management experience, preferably managing energy or infrastructure projects
- Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of energy systems and solar and battery technologies
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
- A degree in engineering, project management, or environmental fields
